With the reduction of the age limits on the Canada Games, many of the sailing team has aged out, new crop of sailors coming into the sailing Team.
VP Report. Mike Heseltine. No report.
Training Report. Jaime Hogan. Season was a challenge after the Accident. New instructors were hired. The SSCA Van has been breaking down a lot in 2006. Need a new vehical strategy for the travel. Boats were well received
Racing Report. Romuald Lagace, athletes did well at the 16 and under’s and the National Youths,
Communication report. Patty Coons, Patty was trained with the web site from Mark Drozda without the Front Page program, Mark Lammens now has the Front Page program and is learning how to do the web site. Discussion about a hard copy newsletter to review the year. Tabled for next meeting.
Staff report. Mark thanked all of the volunteers from the Executive and the Western 16 and under’s. He appreciated the support from the SSCA to coach the National Team at the Miami Olympic Classes regatta. Leigh Campbell thanked Mark and the SSCA for the support with Logan’s accident.
Treasurer Report: Ben Pickford, Auditors Report total assets are $15,000 with the note to the loan in #2. Current liabilities are $2,400 audit, revenues are down due to the 2005 Canada Games grants deficit of $973.00. Question was asked about the revenues from the school, fees went up but the revenues were the same. That is because after the accident, the school for the Catholic site did not happen. The term deposit for the Saskatoon Sail School is 10,333 and the intent is to this value reflected in the statement as the restricted fund.
SSCA has a loan with the CYA to pay off.
