Who We Are
The Saskatoon Sailing Club (SSC) is a family oriented sailing club with facilities at Redberry Lake. The SSC promotes racing as a means of improving the sailing skills of its members and of better enjoying the sport of sailing. Towards these goals, the SSC holds a season long racing series which starts in early June and ends in mid-September. Four races are held on each weekend during this period. In addition to the club racing series, several regattas are held over the summer. Members are encouraged to participate in the club racing activities. Major fleets at the club include Laser, Laser II, Tumbleweed, and Enterprise boats. Sailing lessons are offered through the Mobile Sailing School and rental boats are available for use by members.

Location
Club site is located on the east side of Redberry Lake, approximately 80 km northwest of Saskatoon on highway 12.

Facilities
The club site includes an excellent beach where boats may be stored and launched. Camping on site is allowed and members are assigned a permanent site. Services are basic with no fresh water or electricity. Facilities include a clubhouse, outdoor toilets, and a rainwater shower.

Sailing Conditions
Redberry Lake is an excellent body of water for sailing. The lake is roughly round in shape with a shore to shore distance of 3-4 miles. Winds are usually steady and undisturbed by trees or hills on shore. The water of the lake is rich in potassium, which means that there are no fish worth catching. The lack of fish and the disagreeable taste results in very little recreational use of the area, leaving the lake to the birds and sailors.
